Company Profile
An idea transformed into a company. The company’s history began in 1996 with the founding of vento ludens by Horst Walz in Jettingen-Scheppach, a little town in Bavaria. Long established within the community, we have become a trusted employer for people from our region and beyond. With an eye on the environment combined with corresponding business acumen, we complete innovative projects using the latest technology.
The idea of harnessing energy from renewable sources transformed into our vision – a future without fossil fuels and nuclear power. To successfully drive this vision forward, we expanded our technology portfolio and now develop, own and operate a range of clean energy schemes.
Nature provides us with all the resources we need for this. We use them.
Following our initial success in Germany, we expanded by opening offices in Scotland, Switzerland, England and the Republic of Ireland. Since the company was founded, we have continually developed our expertise in wind power and photovoltaic systems. This foundation of knowledge enabled the next logical step, to expand our technologies further into the field of hydro power.
Actively exchanging knowledge and skills between our offices is the key to our success and quality of work. It is not just about developing and building projects, we aspire to motivate our team and support them in their role, encouraging them to make their unique contribution to the energy vision.
With care. Efficiently. Respectfully.

Excellent communication skills are paramount as is the ability to work as part of a close knit and committed team. Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite is essential. Previous knowledge of renewable technologies and/or language skills, although not essential, would be highly beneficial.
Due to the complexity of the work, the duration of a full-time internship should last at least 5 months. If you are interested please contact us by emailing Karen Forrester (karen.forrester@ventoludens.co.uk) with the subject line ‘internship’.
